November 6-8Finding rest for your soul
What to ExpectWhat if we could spend 36 uninterrupted hours in Gods presence?
Could it be a bit terrifying? It may be.
Are there a million things demanding our attention and presence? Yes.
More importantly, could we leave those 36 hours with a reignited fire for Jesus and a better understanding of His calling on our life? Also, yes!
In Matthew 11, Jesus says, “come to me, all who labor and heavy laden and I will give you rest.” He then goes on to say, “learn from me, for I am lowly and gentle in heart and you will find rest for our souls.”
Ladies, I believe we are living in such a fast paced culture that we barely even know what rest looks like, let alone rest for our actual souls.
This weekend retreat is an opportunity to:
Come to Him and truly find rest for our souls.
Be still and be in his presence.
Pray and listen to His voice.
Reflect on all that he has done and all that he will do in our life.
On Sunday morning, each lady will bring their lawn chair and we will gather together in their main lawn area. We will enjoy our morning coffee and breakfast together and there will be a time for those willing, to share all that experienced throughout the weekend.
As you consider joining us on this weekend, know that we are praying for you!
We are praying that fear would not deter you. We are praying that your families and spouses would support this time for you to get away. We know that leaving for 36 hours will probably make you miss something else but we are praying that wouldn’t stop you. We see numerous times in the New Testament, that Jesus would leave the masses to be alone with God. Jesus had places to be, people that needed Him and a job to do. But He prioritized his time in Gods presence to give Him the rest, strength and zeal to continue to do what God called him to do.
So let’s do this together!
36 hours. One good God. And a whole lot of nature (but in a clamping kind of way).
